Who operates this site

What this site collects — and what it does not

This site does not collect, store, or transmit any personal health information. No clinical data, diagnosis, or treatment information is captured here. The only data collection that takes place is standard web analytics, and only if you choose to accept cookies when prompted.

If you accept analytics cookies, two third-party tools are loaded:

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Provided by Google Ireland Ltd. GA4 records anonymised data about how visitors arrive at and navigate the site — for example, which pages were visited, how long a session lasted, and the approximate city a visitor is in (not a precise location). This data is used solely to understand which channels bring patients to the site and to improve the content. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage. Data is retained for 14 months in Google's systems. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

Meta Pixel

Provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Meta Pixel records page-view events and shares them with our Facebook advertising account, allowing us to measure whether people who see our ads subsequently visit the site. The pixel does not collect the content of any forms you fill in, and it does not record which specific procedure you are inquiring about. Meta's data practices are described at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Legal basis and consent

This site operates in Canada and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Analytics cookies are loaded only after you give explicit consent using the banner that appears on your first visit. If you decline, no tracking scripts are loaded and no data is collected. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage; it does not expire automatically, but you can withdraw it at any time (see below).

How to withdraw consent or opt out

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's local storage in your browser. In most browsers: open Developer Tools (F12), go to Application → Local Storage → vas-reversal.ca, and delete the vasr_consent entry. On your next visit the consent banner will reappear.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and opt out of Meta's off-site tracking in your Facebook ad settings.

Cookies and local storage

Beyond the analytics tools described above, this site stores one item in your browser's local storage: vasr_consent, which records whether you accepted or declined analytics. No other cookies or local storage entries are set by this site. Google and Meta may set their own cookies if you accept analytics — those are governed by their respective privacy policies.

Third-party embeds

The bookings page embeds a scheduling calendar hosted at api.albertavasectomy.ca and a financing calculator hosted at beautifi.com. The contact and booking forms use Microsoft Forms (forms.office.com). These services have their own privacy policies and may set cookies independently of this site's consent banner.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any visitor data. Analytics data is shared only with Google and Meta as described above, acting as data processors on our behalf.

Changes to this policy

If the tools used on this site change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page.
